Please take one moment to say a prayer for my BFF's Dad, who will have double bypass heart surgery in the morning.
Thank you!

Mason is Allergic to Shopping?
Poor Mason has been sick since Friday. He felt a lot better today~well enough to get a haircut & go to Walmart with me, but he still has a nasty cough. It all started with an allergy attack on Friday. His eyes were red & swollen & his nose was stuffed up yet running and he looked miserable. He had a low temp all weekend & I was prepared to take him to the Dr. today but he was so much better, thankfully. He takes Zyrtec everyday throughout the Spring, Summer, and beginning of Fall due to seasonal allergies, but Spring is by far the worst time for him.
He was feeling ok on Saturday, (looks like he's fine in this pic, huh?) so we got out of the house with my mom & went to Hobby Lobby (in the rain)
He got to ride the little mall rides~
When we got home that evening, he had a temp of 101.1! I guess I shouldn't have taken him out of the house afterall. Hey-you saw how good he looked in that 1st picture! I'm so glad he's feeling better now-if he'd just lose that cough!
Isn't this an exciting post about my child's allergies? :)
Our Easter
Easter Sunday was cold and it rained cats & dogs! Why does it always have to be like that on Easter?!? I decided to leave Mason at home while I went to church since it was so cold & wet outside & I knew I'd end up having to park far away.
After church, Wayne, Mason & I went to my parent's house for Easter lunch. My sister got to pick our meal since this week is her birthday, and she picked chicken enchiladas. Although not your traditional Easter meal, it was delicious! Mom also made banana pudding for dessert & it was equally as yummy.
After the meal, we all gave the kids their Easter baskets. Mason got way too much candy, which he was pretty happy about, as well as some fun little toys.
Mom's beautiful Spring/Easter table setting~that orange thing is a huge carrot that I love!

We had a great Easter at church & with family & Mason had lots of fun!
Egg Hunter
I'm a little behind on posting...April is such a busy month!
On the Saturday before Easter, the weather was nice and we knew it was going to turn cold & rainy for Sunday, so I took Mason to the backyard for an impromptu Egg Hunt. I had only half planned on doing it, thinking that he would have another opportunity somehow, but when I realized he wouldn't, I couldn't deprive him of a tradition! He had so much fun! He found all the eggs and made me hide them again!

Princess or...?
.jpg)
(random cute picture~not related to the story!)
This morning Mason greeted me as I sat up in bed by handing me my pants and saying, "Here you go, Princess."
I have never even heard him say the word Princess before, but I did enjoy being called that!
Then in the car on the way to drop him off at my parents, he was playing with his sunglasses~
Mason: "I'm a Spaceman! What can you be, Mommy?"
Me: "I thought I was a Princess..."
Mason "Nope, you're a Pig Farmer."
Again, I have noooo clue where that came from but it sure was funny! I think I'd rather be a Princess!

What's Going On...
Here's a hodge-podge of what's been going on in our lives over the last week:
Since his first ride on "Chilo" on the carousel at the Promenade, Mason is now a seasoned pro! He's been on "Cherokee Blue" whom Mason called "Ketchup" (he was ketchup colored!) .jpg)
and "Elvis" (Mommy rode with him this time & got a little green-I'm not a big fan of going round-and-round!) And yes, Mason needs a haircut..jpg)
He still loves to play with Playdoh. Here he is with a few creations that Wayne & I helped him make~
Mason has really been into building "towers" with his Mega Blocks. This is his "Tah Dah" look:
I got my hair cut on Friday~Here's BEFORE:.jpg)
and AFTER:.jpg)
When my mom, Mason & I were out & about on Friday afternoon, we stopped by Village on the Creeks to see if the flowers were in bloom yet down by the water. They weren't, but some lovely daffodils lined the area around the parking lot, so we stopped for an impromptu photo session (thus Mason's non-picture worthy outfit) I LOVE how they turned out! He just sat right down & posed. .jpg)

The Chapel on the Creeks was open and I've always wanted to see the inside(I'm dying to go to a wedding there!) It was gorgeous to say the least. There is an amazing painting of the Last Supper in the Groom's Quarters! Anyway-back to the story~no photography was allowed inside the Chapel, but we walked around the side and found this beautiful 2-sided bench..jpg)

On Saturday, Wayne mowed for the first time this season, raked up leaves & sweet gum balls from our trees (ugg) and edged. Mason had to mow as well. Yesterday we purchased a new Bubble Mower at Wal-mart to replace the cheap-o $4 mower he's been using. He's been playing with it non-stop in the house (with out the bubbles of course!) and can't wait until it's warm enough to get back outside.
That's all for now!
