Mother's Day 2010

I finally got a few pictures taken the other day with my Mother's day gift from Mason since we forgot to on the day. It was a pot that he had decorated at school and a "World's Greatest Mom" card with a picture he drew. Mason was so sweet on Mother's day-he kept telling me, "Happy Mother's Day!" all day long!

We were able to find a rocker/recliner for the nursery last weekend. It's so comfy, we've all been enjoying it. It's temporarily in the living room since we're working on the nursery right now.

Biker Boy

I took these pictures a few weeks ago (when it was still a little chilly outside, thus the jacket) of Mason getting to ride his bike in the street. He's usually confined to the driveway, so we try to let him go in the street for short distances while we help to watch out for cars.

They Both Reached for the Gun!

Here's a video of my niece, (yes, another post about Chloe'!!) in the role of Roxie in Chicago singing "They Both Reached for the Gun."

For those who aren't familiar with the story, she's the main character in the flapper dress being fed lines by her lawyer (who is played by Chloe's boyfriend, Spencer) like a puppet to the press about why she killed her husband...

Chloe's 17th Birthday

It seems like my niece has been dominating my blog lately, but she's had so much going on over the last few months with school performances, Prom, and now her birthday! I can't believe that she is 17!!!
My sister hosted a small family party for her and made a wonderful dinner for all of us. Instead of a cake, Chloe' picked Dirt Dessert, of which I was very grateful! It was A-MAZ-ING! It looked so real and tasted heavenly! Chloe's big gift was a laptop computer~such a grown up gift! Oh~ and can you tell what her fave color is?
My camera batteries (& back-up batteries) died after about 15 minutes at the party. (Note to self: remember to charge camera batteries before an event!) So all of these pics are from my sister. I'm still planning to get more from my mom with some of Mason & other family included, so I may still post some of those when I get copies.

21 Weeks

Disclaimer: Mason actually took these pictures! I did some cropping, but they still aren't the best. (He did a good job, though!)
We had (another) ultrasound at 20 weeks (our official one) and Baby Girl is growing right on track and is still a GIRL! ;) We are so blessed that she is healthy!
To answer the next question I get constantly: We are still thinking about a name but have some in mind.
My parents kindly bought us the baby bedding I chose and Wayne & I have been so busy turning our office into the nursery. Our house is totally torn up right now from moving furniture here & there. I'm ready for everything to be in order! (yes, I'm nesting.)

Simple Pleasures

Since Mason is doing so much better now that the excessive amount of pollen is clearing, he has been able to play outside some lately. The weather has been gorgeous and I'm so glad he's not suffering with those allergies like he was. He's back to his regular OTC medicine but still has to avoid being outside for too long.
A few days ago, we went out back to see our Iris' in bloom~ so many more have bloomed since the picture~ and Mason played with his bubbles and a pinwheel and blew every white puffy dandelion he could find!

Fun Saturday

As promised, here are more pictures from Jump Zone. This time Mason was attending a birthday party for a girl in his preschool class. He was so excited that before the party he kept asking me, "Now is it time for Jump Zone?" every 10 minutes. When we got there, he was thrilled to see almost his whole class. They all get along great and would just run & run chasing each other all over the place. After playing on the inflatables, they ate pizza and birthday cake and watched as the birthday girl opened her gifts. It was a lot of fun!
(Mason is 3rd row back on the right)

That afternoon, my BFF, Tori came over with her sweet little boy, James. We enjoyed getting caught up with each other while the boys played.
Saturday evening we ran over to my sister's house and Mason scored a "VideoNow" player that was my nephew's. I guess a few years ago they were the hot thing~it plays small DVDs of tv shows and lucky for Mason, he got several episodes of Spongebob & Fairly Odd Parents. He really likes it & the fact that it's kind of a "big boy" toy! Here he is with it:

Saturday was a fun, busy day & we were tired after all that!
