Madame Butterfly

Wow! This was an awesome show! Mom, Angela, Chloe', and I went to see the Houston Ballet perform Madame Butterfly at the Walton Arts Center last night. It was beautiful and sad. Such amazing dancers--I don't know how they do it!

"One of the nation's best ballet companies." The New York Times

From the Walton Arts Center website:

"The story of Madame Butterfly is one of our most beloved tragic love stories, immortalized in modern terms in the Broadway sensation Miss Saigon. It's the gripping story of a young woman who falls for a foreigner and clings to his empty promise of lifelong love and happiness. The moving tale of a beautiful geisha's love and loss has never been told more eloquently than in Houston Ballet Artistic Director Stanton Welch's exquisite, two-act ballet rendition of "Madame Butterfly."
