Ok-since all my friends are freaking out by the way I worded that last post (I would never do that on purpose just to get a good laugh~I swear!) I am chronologically jumping ahead of my Thanksgiving post to share our new addition. (which if you know me, bothers me!)
Meet COSMO:
This February will be 2 years since our 14 year old cat, Bianca passed. Last week it just hit me that I wanted a cat. I searched the local shelters on petfinder.com (which was a great site, by the way) and although I was looking for an all grey kitten, Cosmo caught my eye right away. Here's the pic of him on petfinder:
Irresistible, I know!
So Wayne, Mason & I went to see him at the Bella Vista Animal Shelter. He turned out to be the friendliest cat there. He also happened to be sick. He had a case of diarrhea and had an upper-respiratory infection. (aka a cold) The shelter staff was a little surprised that we wanted to adopt him. They said that black cats don't get adopted very often (how sad!) but that they would get him on antibiotics & get him well if we wanted to take him home. We're so glad we were able to save him & get him healthy. He's purr-fectly healthy now & such a lovable 4 month old. We only paid $25 for him and he is already litter-box trained (really!!) and has all his shots & a microchip.
So, I'm sorry to disappoint you all. I'm sticking with a fur-baby for now! :)
