This day only comes along every 4 years, so make it a good one!
Tonight we are finally going to get to see the Foo Fighters in concert!! I'm anticipating a fun evening. We're going to go out to eat first and my mom's going to watch Mason for us. I hope they allow cameras because I want to take lots of pics to share!

In Memory of Bianca
Today is the one year anniversary of the passing of my sweet cat, Bianca. I just couldn't go without paying tribute to her life today. She was a part of my family for 14 years--almost half my life. She brought so much love and joy to us and we miss her very much.

December 2006 with Mason
The last photo we have of her (the day before she passed) She was very sick with the symptoms of kidney failure. (The wrap on her leg was from an IV)
We love you, Bonk!

Off the Charts Cute
We had a great check up at the Ped on Monday. Mason is healthy and on track developmentally. He has lost some weight (due to being an active toddler)and now weighs 32 pounds (still in the 95th percentile!) and he is 35 3/4 inches tall (off the chart--above the 95th percentile!) We just cannot believe we have such a big, tall boy! He is saying so many new words each day that I can barely keep up! My favorites are "Oh Man," "Idonwanit" (he says this as one word meaning 'I don't want it') and the ever popular "Elmo." He's so much fun to tickle and chase and such a little sweetie! (not that I'm biased)

Everyday Things
In trying to document the everyday little things, I decided to take pics of Mason's toys to create a scrapbook layout about what are his faves right now. These toddler days are zooming by and I want to remember it all.
This afternoon we are going to the Pediatrician for Mason's check up. I can't wait to see how much he (officially) weighs and how tall he is!

Valentines Day (It happened, I missed it)
I have finally been feeling better over the last couple of days although I still have a small cough and a stuffy nose at night. That I can deal with, compared to how bad I felt before! I really kinda missed Valentine's day because that's the first day I was really sick. So here it is in a nutshell:
Wayne was so sweet and got me a dozen red roses, a gift card to Signed, Sealed, Delivered (my fave!) and a beatifully written, mushy card. I got him some cologne and some chocolate, which he liked. Mason got a card and some yummy cookies (below) from us, as well as some money and trinkets from other family members. I had planned to take his picture with his "King of Hearts" shirt on while eating a Valentine cookie, but just didn't feel up to it at the time. So now I'm contemplating staging the whole process! (Only a scrapbooker!) It's just that I have documented all other holidays and major events and there will be one missing if I don't!

I'm Sick
I'm sick. I started feeling icky on Wed. and woke up on Valentine's day sick. My whole family has been sick with this nasty stuff--full body aches, bad cough, scratchy throat, headache...hope to be back soon.

My Necklace and My Chauffer
I ordered myself a little treat online a few weeks ago and have been very impatiently waiting for it to arrive. I finally got this little package in the mail on Monday and I couldn't get it torn open fast enough! It's a custom sterling silver necklace with a fresh water pearl attached. I just love how it turned out! I ordered it from Lisa Leonard Designs. I love the contrast of the pearl & the silver and the uniqueness of it. It's very special to me because it's the first mother's-type thing with Mason's name on it that I have. (You can also get extra parts for it if you have another child later, which is helpful)I'd love to get the matching fresh water pearl earrings and stackable rings next...
Mason is climbing onto everything lately--he even climbed right up into my car the other day! He turned on the lights, played with the radio, and turned the wheel a few times.

My Other Blog
It has been brought to my attention by several different people that they kind of missed the post where I explained that I started a second blog. I think it's because I rarely ever post without at least one picture--so it blended into the background. (I posted a pic this time!) Anyway--just so that you are "in the know" here's what it said:
As if I need to spend even more time on the computer, I've created a second blog (thanks to Christy for her inspiration!) to filter my creative outlets. It will definitely be a work in progress that I want to use as a catchall of self improvement. If nothing else, it will be a place for me to organize my thoughts and things that inspire me to grow in scrapbooking, painting, photography, writing, spirituality, and much more.
I have enjoyed it so far and hope you'll check it out HERE.

Happy Birthday to Us!
Today is my 31st birthday and is Wayne's 32nd birthday!
We went out to a late lunch today and ate way too much then came home and played with Mason. Nothing too exciting. Our famliy and friends called and e-mailed us lots of birthday greetings (thanks everyone!) and my mom made us these yummy cakes.
We kind of already celebrated our birthdays last Monday when we went to Copeland's to eat (the night we were supposed to go to the Foo Fighters concert) and we are still going to the concert--they rescheduled for Feb 29th (leap day!) We're looking forward to getting to go to that!
