Valentine's Day 2011

Check out this little sweetheart...(not biased at all)

And this cutie...

Yum!

Be My Valentine

Mason & I had fun putting these little treat bags together to hand out to his friends at preschool.
This was the assembly process...

I made the headers on the computer & printed them out. I was so happy with how they turned out!
Here he is signing each and every Scooby-Doo Valentine! I was planning to write the other kids' names on them and just have Mason sign his name so it wouldn't be so overwhelming for him (it's a lot to ask at this age) but he insisted on filling them all out-with the kid's name & his. Then he started signing "Love," and drawing hearts!
Working hard (still in his jammies)...
So proud of him!

Valentine's Day

We celebrated Valentine's day over several days...Mason's preschool class had a Valentine exchange and he got lots of treats and cute scribble-signed notes from classmates. Then on Friday, Wayne surprised me with a beautiful tulip arrangement (my faves) and a card that made me cry! (it was really awesome~pregnancy hormones or not!)

On Sunday, I gave Wayne a gift of candy, a coffee mug, and some cologne. Then we gave Mason a stuffed puppy dog covered with hearts that he had seen & wanted really badly a week prior. (The boy LOVES stuffed animals!) He also got some chocolates and a hot wheels car. We baked snickerdoodles that afternoon.

(Comparing it to his other dog)

That evening, Wayne & I dropped Mason off over at my parent's and had dinner at Red Lobster. Mason got another big bag of goodies over there which included a Zhu Zhu pet hamster, his own Buzz Lightyear flashlight, and LOTS of candy! He was in heaven and had fun playing with his cousin, Chloe'.

Our Valentine's Day

We had a low-key but fun Valentine's day. The day started with gift exchanges. Mason was thrilled with all of his Spongebob things; a talking card, a board book with little flaps that open (his fave kind), & chocolate & conversation hearts.

Notice the new haircut as well!

Wayne got me these beautiful tulips! (my favorite flower!) He always goes out of his way to try to find me tulips, which is usually hard in February. So sweet!

Don't they look gorgeous in the sunlight?

I got Wayne this really neat Razorback "Football Vault" book. It's like a scrapbook with reproductions of original Razorback paraphernalia tucked inside. My dad's had it for a few months & I thought Wayne would also like it. And he does!

Then our day got really exciting!
I had told my BFF, Tori that I'd watch little baby James for her while she was moving, so she & her daughter, Mya, dropped him off for the afternoon. He was a perfect ANGEL BABY! We played with him, fed him, diapered him, and he even fell asleep on me. Of course I held him almost the entire time he was with us but his Mommy assured me the spoiling was okay!

Mason had fun with him as well...

James didn't care to sit on Mason's lap, however!

After all the excitement, I was pooped out! I took a nap & was sleepy the rest of the night! Hope you all had a fun Valentine's Day!

Valentines Day (It happened, I missed it)

I have finally been feeling better over the last couple of days although I still have a small cough and a stuffy nose at night. That I can deal with, compared to how bad I felt before! I really kinda missed Valentine's day because that's the first day I was really sick. So here it is in a nutshell:

Wayne was so sweet and got me a dozen red roses, a gift card to Signed, Sealed, Delivered (my fave!) and a beatifully written, mushy card. I got him some cologne and some chocolate, which he liked. Mason got a card and some yummy cookies (below) from us, as well as some money and trinkets from other family members. I had planned to take his picture with his "King of Hearts" shirt on while eating a Valentine cookie, but just didn't feel up to it at the time. So now I'm contemplating staging the whole process! (Only a scrapbooker!) It's just that I have documented all other holidays and major events and there will be one missing if I don't!
