Mason's Last Day of Preschool (June 2011)

I can't believe my big boy is about to start first grade! This was his last day of preschool--one he attended for 2 years, starting when he was just 3 years old! It was hard to leave the familiarity and comfort of this school at our church.

Mason's Milestones

Back in April, I registered Mason for...KINDERGARTEN!!!! I filled out lots of paperwork while he had fun participating in an aptitude test. When we left, I had to snap a few shots in front of the school. I can't believe my baby boy starts elementary school this Fall!

Be My Valentine

Mason & I had fun putting these little treat bags together to hand out to his friends at preschool.
This was the assembly process...

I made the headers on the computer & printed them out. I was so happy with how they turned out!
Here he is signing each and every Scooby-Doo Valentine! I was planning to write the other kids' names on them and just have Mason sign his name so it wouldn't be so overwhelming for him (it's a lot to ask at this age) but he insisted on filling them all out-with the kid's name & his. Then he started signing "Love," and drawing hearts!
Working hard (still in his jammies)...
So proud of him!

Last Day of School

It's hard to believe that Mason has been in Preschool since September. Last Thursday marked his last day in Mrs. Davis' 3 year old class. He's really going to miss his friends and is already looking forward to next year. He is a kid who loves to go to school! He would cry on snow days or when he had to stay home sick! Now Grandpa has his hands full all day long with Mason since we couldn't find a Summer program for kids his age. (We are so thankful for our families and all they do for us!)

The morning of his last day of school: I just love this picture!

And here are some pictures from the FIRST day of school...look how much he's grown!

Chloe's Prom!

My beautiful niece, Chloe' attended Prom this weekend with her boyfriend, Spencer. I cannot believe my sweet niecy-poo will be turning 17 in less than 2 weeks and has gone to Prom! I was so happy we were able to have (a long, grueling) photo shoot at my mom's house before they went to his parents' house (for more photos!)
They had a good time and looked great!

BCSA High School Fundraiser

Last Friday night, my family and I attended my niece Chloe's dinner theater fundraiser for the Benton County School of the Arts High School (BCSAHS). It was a fun evening with a silent auction, display of artwork by the students, and a delicious dinner made by the NWACC Culinary School. The students put on a great show with songs by the Show Choir (in which Chloe' is a part of), acted out skits, and the dance company also performed original choreography.
The final performance of the evening was especially good! It was "Both Reached for the Gun" from Chicago and Chloe' sang the main role as Roxy. She's in the flapper dress and the main male role with her is her boyfriend, Spencer.

All of the performers:

They sang "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Miserables (one of my faves!) as well as "The Rose" and several other songs
The proud family...Chloe' with my Mom, with Me, and with Angela (her mom!)

Great job, Chloe' and all of the performers/students that worked so hard!

Angela's Induction into Gamma Beta Phi

In March, my sister Angela was inducted into Gamma Beta Phi, an Honor and Service Society at NWACC (NWA Community College for those not local.) My Mom, Grandma, and I attended the ceremony, as well as Forrest, my sister's boyfriend. We are so proud of her for not only going back to college, but excelling in her goals! Congrats, Ang!

Cameron's Christmas Choir Concert

(Say that title 5 times fast!)
In December, my nephew Cameron sang in his school's Christmas Concert. Although it was pouring rain that night, My Mom, Sister, Grandma, and I managed to join what seemed like half the city in the school gym for the holiday show. It was really cute & we had fun!

Cameron is on the front row all the way to the left:
