Liberty Bowl Party

Several weeks ago, we had some friends over to watch the Razorbacks play East Carolina in the Liberty Bowl. It turned out to be a houseful! We enjoyed getting to visit with our friends, eat lots of snacks & pizza and watch the kids play...as well as watch the Hogs WIN THE GAME!
There were four little kids (including Mason) and they had a ball! Mason was thrilled to have friends over to play with and they all got along really great. I'm kicking myself for not taking pictures of our guests and especially of the kids playing in Mason's room. It was a tornado! (Thanks Kim & Melissa for helping to pick up!)
I used my stadium cakepan for the first time (My mom has used it before, but not me.) My decorating skills leave much to be desired, but it tasted good!

Cameron's 12th Birthday Party

My awesome nephew, Cameron just turned 12 a few weeks ago. He had a Razorback-themed birthday party (I foresee one of those in Mason's future!) for our close family to celebrate. Of course we all dressed in Razorback clothing (with the exception of the non-compliant teenager...ha!) and ate a razorback cake. Cameron had fun and loved all his gifts. I can't believe that he's already 12 & will be a teenager next year!

Mason is ready for some punch!

Love this pic!

Me trying to get my hand untangled from Mason & a balloon string mess!

A really great pic of my parents!

Time to unwrap!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CAMERON!

The Busy Life of a Toddler

Mason has been a busy little man latley. He is funnier than ever, and amazes us everyday. He's also been pee-peeing in the big potty more frequently (!) and wears pull-ups. We still have work ahead of us, but we're well on our way with potty training.
This week Mason has been quite a grouch. I think the rainy weather for over a week has taken it's toll on everyone. Or maybe it's just the terrible two's. Don't get me wrong~most of the time he's a sweetie, but the last few days he's been a real stinker!

Here are some random pictures taken over the last few weeks:

Eating lunch at McDonald's

Painting a picture to give Cousin Chloe' for her birthday (and no, those khaki pants did NOT come out unscathed.)

Little sweeper boy. He likes a broom almost as much as a vacuum. But not quite.
Sweeping is always more fun while wearing Mommy's flip-flops.

Autographed Razorback Helmet

Several weeks ago, Wayne and some of his friends went to an annual Razorback banquet thingy (I'll admit that I really don't know what it was called or really what happened there!!!) Anyway...Arkansas Head Football Coach Bobby Petrino was one of the speakers and Wayne was able to get this mini helmet signed. (too bad we don't own a full-sized helmet.) It was a last-minute thought to bring something to be autographed but Wayne also took along my silver pen that I use for scrapbooking for him to sign with. After signing the helmet, Bobby said, "Nice pen." Oh ya-I have all the good pens. :) It now happily resides in our Razorback-themed office.

Our Valentine's Day

We had a low-key but fun Valentine's day. The day started with gift exchanges. Mason was thrilled with all of his Spongebob things; a talking card, a board book with little flaps that open (his fave kind), & chocolate & conversation hearts.

Notice the new haircut as well!

Wayne got me these beautiful tulips! (my favorite flower!) He always goes out of his way to try to find me tulips, which is usually hard in February. So sweet!

Don't they look gorgeous in the sunlight?

I got Wayne this really neat Razorback "Football Vault" book. It's like a scrapbook with reproductions of original Razorback paraphernalia tucked inside. My dad's had it for a few months & I thought Wayne would also like it. And he does!

Then our day got really exciting!
I had told my BFF, Tori that I'd watch little baby James for her while she was moving, so she & her daughter, Mya, dropped him off for the afternoon. He was a perfect ANGEL BABY! We played with him, fed him, diapered him, and he even fell asleep on me. Of course I held him almost the entire time he was with us but his Mommy assured me the spoiling was okay!

Mason had fun with him as well...

James didn't care to sit on Mason's lap, however!

After all the excitement, I was pooped out! I took a nap & was sleepy the rest of the night! Hope you all had a fun Valentine's Day!
