Pumpkin Patch Birthday Party

Several weeks ago, Mason & I attended a super fun birthday party at the pumpkin patch for our friends' twin girls, Molly & Taylor. We had a great time...

The whole group of party guests:

We've been going to this pumpkin patch for the last 2 years, so we counted this as our trip for this year~since I didn't foresee us getting our newborn out to the patch!

The kids had potato sack races...

Mason was paired with birthday girl Molly

And then the adults had some fun, too!

The kids got to ride the barrels

And we all went on a hay ride around the patch

We took silly pictures

And then Mason got to pick out his own pumpkin

We then chose a pumpkin for each of us (as we do every year.) I let Mason pick out Madelyn's tiny little pumpkin!

We had such a great time celebrating the girls' birthdays, hanging out with friends, and enjoying a day at the pumpkin patch!

Timewarp: Fall Playday

I know it's January of a brand new year, but we're going to take a little journey back to November when my desktop computer decided to die and I took a long vacay from blogging. Please bare with me as get caught up to present day!

Let's do the Time Warp again...and go back to the Fall, before Thanksgiving. The last semi-warm day of the season when Mason wanted to ride his Jeep in the backyard:

Mason was looking exceptionally cute this day!

LOTS more to come...

Our Visit to the Pumpkin Patch

About 3 weeks ago, we took Mason to the Pumpkin Patch. We visited the same one we took him to last year since it has hay rides, lots of pumpkins & gourds, beautiful Fall foliage, character cut-outs for photo-ops...lots of fun stuff! Each year, we each pick out our own pumpkin~Wayne gets a big one, I get a medium one & Mason gets a small one.

I love that they had this set up!

Mason on the barrel ride~it was so cute! They didn't have this ride last year. It was perfect for his age & he was excited to get on it right after we arrived.
Bye-Bye!
Hope they come back...

So realistic...

Mom's Halloween Decorations

I love my Mom's holiday decorations~especially for Fall & Halloween. I took some pictures a few weeks ago & thought I'd share...

Mason with Jack-O-Lantern
Mom just got a new, much bigger black tree to hold all of these ornaments...and guess what? She gave this one to me! (I need to get some ornaments now!)
Haunted House
Fall ornaments
Coffee table in the formal living room~witches hats & pumpkins
Witchy-Poo
Long story short, this is "Chalky" and he likes to dress up for the holidays :)

Enjoying Fall!

I've caught up on several posts tonight, so be sure to scroll down to see them!

I just love these pictures of Mason in the laundry basket! (digi layout made at Scrapblog.com)

We are getting pretty excited about Halloween around here. Mason will have a great time this year since he's old enough to "get it." I hope to get his costume bought this weekend. Still pondering what Wayne & I will be this year...

Mason helped me decorate for Fall/Halloween this last weekend.

Fall Fun

Yesterday, Mason and I played in the backyard for an hour since the weather was so beautiful. It was in the 70's with a light breeze and we enjoyed hearing the crunch of leaves under our feet, searching for pretty leaves, and of course sliding & swinging. I was a little sad to think that we wouldn't be able to play outside much more until next Spring, which got me thinking how big Mason would be then...

This leaf was HUGE! It was bigger than my head. I tried to get Mason to hold it so I could get a picture of him with it, but he didn't cooperate.

A few leaves we found that Mason liked

Although dirty, I thought the birdbath looked pretty with the leaves in it.

Painting Pumpkins

This afternoon, Mason painted the pumpkin he picked out yesterday at the pumpkin patch. He was a minimalist at first, but then got the hang of it & swirled the paint all around. He also painted the paper plates I used to put the paint on & some of the newspaper I laid down.
