I tried so hard to narrow down the approx 200 pictures that were taken between me, my mom & my sister and this is how many I still felt like posting--so bare with me!
Last Saturday, Mason had a Backyardigans birthday party. We had a houseful and served hamburgers, hot dogs and all the sides, etc. We then moved on to the cake & rainbow sherbet. After we were all stuffed, we settled down and unwrapped lots of cute toys and clothes and then headed to the backyard to unveil the big surprise gift from Mommy & Daddy--an outdoor plaything with a slide. (what DO you call those things? Anyway...) He had a wonderful time although he was a zombie from NO NAP before the party! He literally passed out right after everyone left, but only slept 30 minutes, much to our dismay (we were pretty exhausted as well!) Thanks to everyone for all of the clothes, pjs, and toys! Mason has been having so much fun playing with all his new stuff!

What do YOU think? (Please VOTE!)
UPDATE: Poll Now Closed
I have to admit, a few months ago when I heard that the Backyardigans were touring with a new live show, I got excited and hoped they would come through NWA. I mentioned it to Wayne & he was like, "Really? You would take an almost 2 year old to a show like that? Let's not spoil him." (or something along those lines) So I was a little crestfallen (how often do you get to use THAT word in a sentence?) but every time the commercial comes on, I still check the cities they are soon to be seen in with a little hope.
That being said, Mason's newest animated loves are Dora & Diego. (Much to my dismay at first, but even I've grown to like them some now) He, by no means, has ditched the Backyardigans (they'll forever be his first love) but I see that Diego (with a visit from his screechy-voiced cousin, Dora) will be in Fayetteville next month!!!
What's a mom to do? I really think Mason would enjoy it and he even says "Meow, Meow!" like Baby Jaguar does. Do you think the show would just be silly?
So please, VOTE to the right and let me know what YOU think!

It turned out to be a nice day, so Mason and I headed to the backyard to swing, play ball, blow bubbles and just run and explore...

Our Easter
For Mason's second Easter, he got a basket full of goodies from us, uh I mean, the Easter Bunny.
He got 2 big eggs with assorted Backyardigans characters in them and of course, they happened to be the same characters, so he had 2 Tyrones and 2 Pablos. Then my parents gave him one as well--and guess who? He loves all 3 Tyrones and all 3 Pablos! His Aunt Angela and cousins Chloe' and Cameron gave him a basket filled with suckers and a fun spill proof container with bubbles.
Two out of three Tyrones
After church, before the egg hunt. Me in my Easter dress that isn't in the picture!

Mason's 2nd Halloween
Mason dressed up as Pablo the Penguin from the Backyardigans (a no-brainer) for his second Halloween. He had such a fun time! We met up with Angela and Cameron for the Goblin Parade in downtown Rogers to trick-or-treat in the afternoon, came home and (sort-of) took a nap, then headed over to Mimi and Grandpa's house that evening. We went to several houses in their neighborhood and got more candy that his parents are now being forced to eat. He loved going to the door to watch candy being handed out when kids would ring the bell. He got lots of clothes from Mimi & Grandpa, a great big cookie from Gigi, and a cute Backyardigans board book from the Moss family. Mason ate his first sucker that night--a banana flavored dum-dum. I think we've started something...oh well it was Halloween!

My Little Backyardigan
Mason LOVES the Backyardigans!!! They are so cute and I must admit that Wayne and I are both addicted, also! I find myself singing thier songs everyday. Mason smiles and dances to the music--although in these pics he's just glued--in a tv coma! I only let him watch a few a day--I don't want him to watch too much tv. We happen to have 23 episodes Tivo'd!!! We love them!
