My Big Baby Boy

Mason will be 18 months old on the 10th! I cannot believe how big he is and how much joy he brings us! Lately he's loving to stay in his bed for a little while after he wakes up from his nap. He likes to sit up on his knees and flop down on his belly. His favorite toys right now are balls and cars--you know, typical boy stuff!

Christmas Day

We headed out to Wayne's parent's house for Christmas lunch with his family and more unwrapping...

This ball was one of his fave gifts...

However, this ball he WILL NOT touch!!! The gelly/fringy stuff freaks him out! It's so funny!

Our niece Haley, passed out right when it was time to open presents!

After leaving Wayne's parents, we ran home then headed back over to my parent's for our 2nd big meal of the day. We were all pretty exhausted from all of the festivities--especially Mason! We had a great Christmas and are so thankful for all of the gifts, time with family, and good food!

Christmas Morning

It was fun to walk out into the living room with Mason and watch him go over to his gifts. He said "Alright!" to everything he picked up. After unwrapping gifts, we had cinnamon rolls and coffee for breakfast and relaxed for just a little while before getting ready to go out to Wayne's parent's.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was spent at my parent's house in Rogers. Every year my Mom makes a big lasagna dinner (since we'll have the traditional turkey dinner the next day) and then we unwrap gifts. Mason didn't know what to think, but liked the tissue paper and soon realized that he was getting new toys!
After eating and unwrapping, we all attended the Candlelight Service at church. It was so refreshing to celebrate Jesus' birth with hymns, prayer, and a beautiful version of Silent Night sang by candlelight.
When we got home, I put out cookies and milk for Santa (although Mason had already gone to bed!) Of course I took a picture to document the beginning of a tradition in our house.

Today

We went to Wal-Mart this afternoon despite the yucky wet, cold weather and actually bought a few Christmas presents (finally!) I tried to get a few quick pics of Mason in his new winter coat before heading out, but of course he just ran toward me and tried to grab the camera. This one turned out really cute though...

Pajama Day

Mason is 17 months old today! (I can't believe how big he is!)
I was going to take Mason to get a haircut (his 2nd ever) today, but it was so cold and wet outside all day long that instead, I let him stay in his pajamas all day and play. (I didn't even comb his hair)
I've been trying to get a shot of him with the Christmas tree, but he just won't sit still long enough.
